Onshore & Offshore E-Houses

Our E-House Designs

Worldoils can provide both ‘Single-lift’ and ‘Modular’ E-houses that generally house many different types of electrical and instrument equipment.

Often referred to as LER’s, LIR’s, or Equipment Rooms, the E-houses are manufactured to allow all electrical and instrument panels and equipment to be pre-installed and pre-commissioned in a “controlled” environment prior to trucking or shipping to site.

Designed for either onshore or offshore applications generally for the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industries and can be designed for either safe or hazardous area (Zone 2) environment and also designed for protection against extreme climatic weather conditions.

Worldoils also provides full ‘Integrated System Design’ Services for designing the E&I interfacing between all E-house equipment and to satisfy clients own specifications, Certifying Authority specifications or our own AOS specifications.

Examples of typical E-house applications include but not limited to any of the following Electrical and Instrument equipment configurations:

• MCC switchgear (LV, MV, HV)
• DCS process control
• Power Generation controls (Gas Turbine or recip. Engines)
• Gas Compression controls (Gas Turbine or recip. Engines)
• Fire and Gas system controls
• Telecommunication systems
• UPS and battery back-up systems
• Fire suppression systems
• HVAC controls

Onshore & Offshore E-Houses

Worldoils can procide Multi-purpose modules to fully comply with either Certifying Authority or Client specific requirements. Again these can either be manufactured as multiple-linked modules or built as a single-lift module.

Similar to our Living Quarter Modules, these can be designed as either ‘stand-alone’ or linkable and stackable to ensure they fully maximize the footprint spaces available on either offshore platforms, drilling support or marine types of vessels.

This modular design concept again allows the client to utilise existing offshore platform cranes for installation, in preference to the leasing of ‘heavy-lift’ crane barges, thus providing the client with obvious ‘cost-benefits’ and allows installations to be performed on a year-round basis.

Although typically designed and built for installation in a safe area the modules and cabins can also be designed for use in Zone 2 Hazardous Areas.

Typical Multi-purpose modules are:

• Laboratory
• Weather shelters
• Equipment rooms
• Offices
• Radio rooms
• Toilet/shower rooms
• Recreation rooms
• Locker and changing rooms
• Workshops
• Mud Logging cabins
• ROV cabins
