Power Unit - 58 HP @ 2,300 RPM diesel engine with 12-volt electric start engine.
Feed Mechanism - The main feed consists of double acting chain drive mechanism
connected to a hydraulic cylinder with 48” stroke and capable of 11,000 lbs. upward
thrust and 11,000 lbs. pull down. Feed speeds are 0-72 RPM up and down.

Drill Drive - Taken from prime mover through a variable volume over center piston
pump and tandem fi xed volume pump.
Drill Head - 4-Speed. 3-5/8” open spindle.
1st gear (0-120 RPM @ 3,028 ft./lbs. torque)
2nd gear (0-252 RPM @ 1,452 ft./lbs. torque)
3rd gear (0-456 RPM @ 788 ft./lbs. torque)
4th gear (0-750 RPM @ 458 ft./lbs. torque)
Mast - Welded rectangular structural steel tube construction that supports
and guides the rotation of feed components.
Positioned with one (1) hydraulic cylinder and rigidly held in the vertical position for
drilling and is lowered to the travel position for moving from hole to hole.

Mast mounting allows for angle as well as 90 degree vertical drilling. Also includes
mast dump up to 36”. Includes crown block with sheaves.

Track Mounting - The entire drill is mounted on a structural steel frame and is
self-propelled by 9” rubber crawler tracks with independent reversible hydraulic
motor drive as well as full function remote radio control. Ground bearing
pressure 5.2 P.S.I. without options or tooling.

Introduction :
The rig is a loadcraft industries 750 drilling rig with mast hook load capacity of 365.000 lbs
(160 metric ton), powered by two caterpillar C15 diesel engines, coupled two allison 6061 RB
transmissions with torque converter. The mast is 114ft (36m) rated at 365.000 lbs API capacity.
Drawworks have 1000hp capacity. All equipment is mounted on a 7 axle carrier. The rig is
equipped with a telescoping substructure at 17ft 6 inches (5.3m) height.
The mast is equipped with a torque arrest beam for the top drive and with piping and necessary
loops to operate the top drive. The total rig is built for extremely quick rig up/down time.
The TD is a northdrill API 250 ton rated with continuous torque rating of 40.500 ft-lbs.
All necessary equipment to operate the top drive in is included with the rig.

1. Carrier
Section 1.1 carrier
- Seven axle heavy-duty carrier for load of 140.000 lbs. Fully equipped with lights and brakes
etc for normal driving operation. All axles have spring brake chambers for safety.
- Tires and wheels are disc wheels, 14"20 all terrain tread. Tire rating of 52.000 psi total.
Two spares delivered.
- Two 100 gallon (2x420 L) fuel tanks side mounted on carrier frame, connected for equalization.
- One toolbox storage box of steel with reinforced lockable doors.
- Eight side platforms with handrails on both sides along the carrier body, four on each side.
Each platform is approx. 6ft x 2 ft (1,8x0,6m)
- One staircase section from side platforms to ground level.
- Hercules 129 HA deadline anchor to be used with compression type weight sensor. Drum type
mounted on carrier frame in front of drawworks frame, hydraulic sensor included.
- Four pedestals to go under front jacks for rig stability.
- Total of six jacks for leveling the rig.

Section 1.2 hydraulic system
- 50 GPM (190 LPM) hydraulic system, design to operate at minimum 2000 psi with rating of
50 gpm at 2100 psi.
- Hydraulic pump driven from PTO on transmission.
- Air activated clutch for pump engagement.
- 325 gallon (1230 L) hydraulic oil tank with filler cap, breather, oil level, oil temp.

Section 1.3 tong circuits
- Tong hydraulic circuit is designed to operate up to 50 gpm at 2000 psi.
- Includes connectors, pressure & return lines, pressure gauge, directional flow valve and pressure
regulating valve.

Section 1.4 handling winch
- Hydraulic powered planetary winch 8000 lb (3.6 t) line pull, rated at 100 ft (30m) per minute at
2000 psi hyd. pressure.
- 325 ft (99m) of 1/2" line on drum
- Fail safe brake (in/out hydraulic activated)
- Winch sheaves provided in crown
- Protection cage on winch
- Controls at operators console

2. Main power/engine
Section 2.1 engine/transmission
-Two caterpillar C-15 540 hp diesel engines
- Equipped with limiting speed governor, air throttle sctuator, lube and fuel filters, alternator and
flywheel housing.
- High ambient radiators and suction fan, permanent type anti-freeze, signel exhaust with spark
arrester diverted to off-operator side with mufflers.
- Engine kill valve located at operators console
- Electric start (remote from operators console)
- Both engines can run at the same time or only one if adequate.

Section 2.2 transmission
- Allison S 6061 RB model six-speed transmission (five fwd 1 rw)
- With converter and oil cooler
- Air over hydraulic controls, with air line indicator system
- Controls available at operators console and in drivers cabin

3. Drawworks
Section 3.1 drawworks
- Model 4212 drum winch assembly
- Full air, fawick "28VC-1000" clutch outside drawworks frame.
- Brakes are 42" (107 cm) diameter x 12" (30,5 cm) wide, lined with 1 inch (2,5 cm) x 12" (30,5 cm)
- API driled brake blocks, full wrap dead-end equalized
- Brake rims are removable with rings for splash water cooling
- Brake operatoin shafts are mounted on ball bearings; these are self engaging and release
by operator.
- Drum barrel is 18" (45,7 cm) in diameter, and 38" (96,5 cm) long, mounted on double row
self-aligning spherical roller bearings on a 6 1/2" (16,5 cm) drum shaft
- Clutch single line pull is 42.500 lb on bare drum and first gear.

Section 3.2 lubrication
- Centralized lubrication system to all bearings and brake linkage on drawworks, is located
outside frame.

Section 3.3 brake water cooling
- Closed loop brake cooling system, mounted on carrier
- Includes 425 gallon tank with covered top, with level indicator
- Removable cap with drain system, breather and fill cap.

Section 3.4 drawworks drive
- ASA-100-3 (1 1/4") pitch, triple stand, roller chain
- Chain drive from input sprocket to sprocket on jackshaft
- ASA-100-3 (1 1/4") pitch, triple stand, roller chain as final drive to main drum

Section 3.5 main drum - grooved jacket
- Lebus counter balanced sleeve is grooved for 1 1/8" wireline, to assist spooling, and reduced line wear.

Section 3.6 hydrotarder
- Parmac 202 hydrodynamic brake assembly with dual rotary
- Fawick 28 VC 1000 air clutch, gates, inlet air valve and piping
- 325 gallon (1230 L) water tank, lines, valves and plumbing installed on rig.
- Drive from the main drum thru triple stand 1 1/4" pitch drive chain.

Section 3.7 combined gearbox
- Cushman model 279 combined gearbox consisting of right angle gearbox and dropbox.
- Right angle gearbox ratio 1:1 to drive single drum drawworks. Dropbox to transfer torque to rotary.
- Pressurized lubrication system.

Section 3.8 sandline drum
- Sandline drum with 42x8 brake size, for handling 16,500 ft of 9/16" wireline on drum
- Brakes are removable for water splash cooling of the brake rims
- Single line pull is 26,000 lbs on the drum

Section 3.9 rotary drive
- Provided at the dropbox for power connection- Elevated chain drive is oil bath type consisting of drive
sprocket at bottom of case with ASA 140-2 (1 3/4") pitch double

4. Mast
Section 4.1 mast
- 114 ft (33,5m) clear working height with an API rated static hook load of 330.000 lb with 8 lines,
and 365.000 lb with 10 lines.
- Designed to withstand 69mph winds from any direction
- Telescoping twin box structure designed and built to API standards.
- Two section with upper section telescoping into lower section for rig move operation.
- Automatic mast latching in raised or lowered position
- Lock and operating control located at base of mast
- Ladder from base to crown with safety blocks for personnel
- All necessary chains, turnbuckles, pins etc included and certified
- 4 inch standpipe rated 5000 lb, welded with 1502 unions.

Section 4.2 crown assembly
- Bender crown arrangement for 8 or 10 lines string up with conventional block.
- One 36" fastline sheave, grooved for 1 1/8"
- One 36" deadline sheave, grooved for 1 1/8"
- Four 30" sheaves cross mounted, grooved for 1 1/8"
- Two catline sheaves
- Crown sheaves are steel with flame hardened grooves.
- Sheaves are mounted on timken tapered roller bearings and all carry certification.
- Crown platform with railing for personnel safety
- Attachment point for four wind guylines from crown to ground is provided.

Section 4.3 tubing board

Section 5.1 hydraulic telescoping substructure

Section 5.3 hydraulic catworks - make & break-out
- Breakout cylinder has 6ft stroke with 20.000 lb maximum line pull
- Makeup cylinder has 6ft stroke with 20.000 lb maximum line pull
- Cylinder mounted in lower mast section, and includes wireline, turn back sheaves and plumbing
for hydraulics
- Both cylinders are controlled from operators console

Global offshore drilling market has experienced a slowdown in
2009 following the hectic activity witnessed in the previous years.
The growth of the offshore drilling market is being driven by high
demand and the prices of crude oil and natural gas. The increase
in the demand for oil and natural gas due to the high economic
growth during the period from 2004 to 2008 was responsible for
the continuous increase of crude oil and natural gas prices until
mid 2008. The demand for oil and gas and the sustained high
prices stimulated increased activity in the offshore drilling market.

However, since the economic slowdown and the collapse of the
oil and gas prices from record levels of 2008, many of the offshore
projects have become uneconomical and have since been delayed
or cancelled. This is because the offshore drilling expenditure is
directly dependent on the exploration and production capital
spending of the international oil companies, national oil companies
and independent producers. The tight credit situation and an
uncertain outlook for the oil and gas global demand have affected
the capital expenditure plans of the exploration and production
companies. These factors had a negative effect on the offshore
drilling spend in 2009. However, future outlook for offshore drilling is
encouraging and the expenditure is expected to steadily increase
to 2015.

Global offshore drilling expenditure is expected to grow to more than
$XX billion in the period from 2009 to 2015 :

The global offshore drilling expenditure has increased in recent years
especially during the period from 2004 to 2008. According to
research’s estimates, approximately $XX billion was spent on offshore
drilling from 2000 to 2008. The regions accounting for the major
share of the spending were the US Gulf of Mexico
(USGOM), West Africa, Brazil and Asia Pacific. The offshore drilling
expenditure peaked in 2007- 2008.

The global drilling expenditure is forecast to grow at an annual average
growth rate of about XX% in the forecast period of 2009 to 2015. The
depletion of the reserves in onshore and shallow waters and the
advancement in seismic and drilling technologies are driving the
increased drilling activities in deepwater offshore regions. This trend
is most visible in the offshore areas of the USGOM, Brazil and West
Africa. The discovery of deep water and subsalt reserves is expected to
drive investments in the sector.

As a result of the increasing demand and the decline of the reserves of
crude oil and natural gas, the prices of crude oil and natural gas are
expected to continue to rise. However, factors such as decreases in
service costs as the offshore regions mature, and advances in
technology leading to increased efficiency and a reduction in extraction
costs, will combine to reduce the total E&P investments. Nonetheless,
the positive factors leading to increases in investments are likely to
outweigh the negative factors, thereby significantly increasing the
offshore drilling expenditure in the future.

4.1.2 The shift in investment to new and emerging offshore
regions such as Asia and Brazil is driving the growth of
offshore drilling on these regions :

In recent years, new and emerging offshore areas in Brazil,
Asia and West Africa have attracted increasing investments.
The offshore areas in the US Gulf of Mexico and the North
Sea in Europe were the hotspots for investment in the last
decade. However, the recent discoveries of offshore fields
with huge reserves in various other regions of the world has
started a shift in investments from mature regions such as
the North Sea to nascent offshore areas in Brazil, West
Africa and Asian countries such as China and Vietnam.

water exploration and production is driving the growth of

West Africa is one of the world’s emerging offshore
regions. There have been huge discoveries in recent

region for exploration and production companies. The
West African region is expected to drive the offshore
drilling expenditure in the years ahead. On the other
hand, there has been relatively little offshore activity
in the Middle East region.

9.1 The Middle East and Africa drilling expenditure forecasts to 2015 :

In recent years, Africa has emerged as one of the major
regions for offshore oil and gas exploration and
development. West Africa, which includes Angola,
Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Côte d’Ivoire, is an
important emerging region in the global offshore oil and
gas industry and has combined reserves of XX mmboe.
New offshore fields and the desire of many governments
to develop the rich petroleum resources in the region has
led to the increase in production and thereby an
increase in the drilling activity in recent years. With the
region’s governments keen to capitalize on their oil and
gas resources, the region is expected to continue to
attract huge investments in offshore exploration and
development activity in the future. The Middle East
region, which has enormous onshore reserves, also
has considerable offshore potential. About XX million
barrels of oil were produced from the Middle East region
in 2000, which increased to XX million barrels in 2008.
With the increased prospects in offshore areas,
especially in West Africa, exploration and production
activity is expected to increase thereby attracting
investments in drilling in the future.

According to research’s estimates, the offshore drilling
expenditure in the Middle East and Africa was more
than $XX billion during the period from 2000 to 2008.
This is expected to increase to more than $XX billion
during the period from 2009 to 2015 with West Africa
accounting for a major share. West Africa has some
of the most promising areas for offshore oil and gas
exploration and the recent discoveries of subsalt
reserves are only expected to add to the attractiveness
of the region for increased drilling expenditure. Along
with Brazil, the West African region is expected to be
a high growth market for offshore drilling.

KTC-240 Linear winch :
The blocks are guided along 2 parallel U rails with stainless steel
removable supports and self lubricated interchangeable bearings.
For weight reasons, the frame is built in 2 seperate bolted parts,
and the gripped are removable from the frame.
The linear winch is attached working hanging or rested, horizontally
on deck foundations (yard supply).
Continuous motion.

The winch shall be capable of hauling-in and paying-out under any load,
in automatic and manual mode, in continuous operation.
It also includes 4 guide rollers (2 horizontal and 2 vertical ones) for the
back side (low tension side).

Hydraulic control modules :
The linear winch frame includes 2 hydraulic modules (one for each gripper)
for the synchronization, control and safety of the grippers of the linear winch.
They are mounted and piped on the frame itself. They are suitable to operate
into a hazardous area (Atex zone 1).

They are equipped with an integrated line-pull limitation. A potentiometer
adjusts the line-pull between 0 and 100%, and a software preset adjusts
the 100% betweem 50 t and 240 t.

For the powering of the linear winch, an external and independent
2 × 75 kW. HPU in LS control and with 2 × 130 l/min @ 310 barg. The HPU
has 4 outlets on each pump : pressure, return, drain and LS. The linear
winch must be fitted to this system for male connections (hydraulic inlet
power to the linear winch).

Required oil power for the linear winch should be as follows :
two identical and independent supplies (1 for each gripper) of 3 lines
each, with each the following utilities requirements :
P with 130 l/min at 310 bar per gripper
R with 160 l/min at ≤ 5 bar per gripper
D with 15 l/min at ≤ 1 bar per gripper
LS connections

Fittings internal on the linear winch :
On the main connections/ tubing it's require with SAE flanges.
On the smaller connections/ tubing where SAE flange won't
be used (10 and 12 mm tubes) it's required with parker EO2
fittings.
The hydraulic connections shall be assembling on one place
(scot plate) for each gripper.
Connections shall be as follow :
Pressure : 5/4" bsp male
Return : 1.1/2" bsp male
Drail : 3/4" bsp male
LS : 1/4" bsp male

Local control cabinet & panel :
The winch is supplied with the PLC control and command,
necessary for its full control and located remotely to the
winch. It is suitable for hazardous area (Zone 1)

a) PLC Cabinet :
The PLC cabinet is supplied loose, to be mounted into a
weather protected control container

have BSP ports for fitting quick release couplings.

Quality control :
Quality control is carried out according to ISO 9001-2008.
An ITP is issued during the first month after contract, and progress plan and
reports are regularly controlled.

The 1000 H.P. Trailer Rig Package is designed to meet the demands of our customers for today’s competitive market. We pride ourselves on doing the little things necessary that it takes to supply our customers with the latest innovative technology. When designing rig packages we try to meet three simple goals. All rig components must :
1. Operate Properly.
2. Rig up quickly.
3. Transport in the fewest loads possible.

Using these principles, we have designed this rig package to meet and exceed all of our customers needs.

I. Hoisting Equipment
i. Mobile drilling trailer mounted type 1000HP, with single drum drawworks, two Detroit series 60 14.0 liter engines with two Allison S6610H transmissions with hydraulic torque converter. Mast height 118 ft., load capacity-425,000 lbs. (210 ton API). Rig mounted on a 4-axle chassis.

A. Group I. Basic Rig
a. Drawworks – OEM-1000
i. Disc Brake System – Two (2) 60” O.D. x 4” Thick water cooled disc: Four (4) brake calipers w/park feature, each caliper can develop 48,000 ft-lbs @ 100 psi. Maximum 900 rpm calipers have a park feature rated @ 28,000 ft-lbs each. Manufacturer = Kobelt
ii. Air Clutch – Two (2) 30” diameter friction disc, slip torque rating 54,500 ft-lbs @ 100 psi, maximum 760 rpm, 1664 sq in lining area. Manufacturer = Witchita.
iii. Drum 24” O.D. x 40” length with Lebus groove system
iv. Centralized Lubrication System
v. Drill line Diameter-1 1/8”
vi. Drive Chain - Four-strand, 1 ½” pitch
vii.Total Disc Brake Area - 1680 sq. inches

b. Auxilary Brake
i. Air Operated : Water Cooled Disc with copper alloy wear plates, mounted to frame, coupled directly to drum shaft. Two (2) 36” Disc rated @75,000 ft-lbs @100 psi maximum 640 rpm.
ii. Size-236 or equal
iii. Maximum Pressure - 100 psi
iv. RPM-640
v. Direct Coupled Drum shaft.

c. Combined Gear Box
i. Combined right angle drawworks drive drop box with one output shaft for rotary drive and one output shaft (unused) for additional components.
     1. One input shaft with 1810 drive flange.
     2. Top right shaft - drawworks drive, air engaged 1.0 to 1 ratio keyed shaft
     3. Top lower shaft - rotary drive, air engaged 1.1489 to 1 reduction ratio keyed shaft.
     4. Bottom lower shaft – Future or additional components, opposite top lower shaft, air engaged, 0.9787 to 1 ratio (1.0217 to 1 ratio increasing), 1810 drive flange.
ii. Gear type lubrication pump mounted intermediate shaft provides positive lubrication to bearings.

d. OEM 118’-0” x 425,000# Telescoping Mast
The 118ft., mast provides is a telescoping design, manufactured in accordance with API and Drilling Structures Int’l Inc.’s strict quality control processes. The mast includes an automatically deployed racking board.
i. A telescoping derrick with open face derrick design, manufactured to API 4-F specifications. The open face design utilizes structural steel construction, which allows for maximum block clearance. Derrick includes a ladder from rig floor to crown and a block cradle with chain & hook for securing block during transport.
iii. Base Section :

a. The mast includes an all welded racking board. The racking board automatically deploys as the mast is extended.

2. Three (3) Derrick DE-AG-10 Agitators complete with 10 HP, 1800 RPM explosion proof C-face motor bolted to a gear box. Including shaft stabilizer, shaft and impeller.
3. Two (2) Derrick DE-AG-15 Agitators complete with 15 HP, 1800 RPM explosion proof C-face motor bolted to a gear box. Including shaft stabilizer, shaft and impeller.
4. One (1) Derrick two cone desander.

Group IX - Fabrications
A. Accumulator/Junk Bend/Air Package Combo
a. Material and labor to fabricate one (1) accumulator/pipe bend skid as per our conversations. OEM to fabricate a three runner oilfield type skid (40’ x 10’ x 12”)
     covered with ¼” check plate. Piping to be done during rig up. Skids complete with:
i. One (1) arched type roof and enclosure.
v. Mounting supports for two (2) vertical air receivers.
vi. Mounting supports for one (1) accumulator.
vii. Mounting supports for:
     1. Two (2) air compressors
viii. Access doors
     1. One 36” swing type door way
     2. Two (2) 48” double door way.

B. Parts/Mechanic Shop - “New”
    Material and labor to fabricate one (1) parts/change house. House (38’x 10’x 9’) to be constructed on an oilfield type skid (40’x 10’x 12”) with loading hitches on both ends for tailboarding. Top of skid covered with ¼” checker plate. House to be complete with:
     • One (1) work bench and One (1) Table
     • Two sets of shelves on each wall.
     • Four (4) storage benches.

C. 500 bbl Water Tank
Material and labor to fabricate one (1) 500 bbl water tank as per our conversation. Tanks fabricated on oilfield type skids with loading hitches on both ends for tailboarding. Skid ends to be covered with ¼” check plate. Tanks complete with the following :
- Two (2) 3 x 2 x 11 Centrifugal pumps with 25 HP Motors
- Suction and Discharge Piping.
- Two (2) ladder rung to top of tank (In and Out)
- 4” Fill cap
- 2” Outlet
- 1” Drain

D. One (1) 12,000 Gallon Fuel Tank
Material and labor to fabricate one (1) 12,000 gallon fuel tank as per our conversation. Tanks fabricated on oilfield type skids with loading hitches on both ends for tailboarding. Skid ends to be covered with ¼” check plate. Tanks complete with the following :
- Two (2) fuel transfer pumps
- One (1) filter system.
- Suction and Discharge Piping.
- Two (2) ladder rung to top of tank (In and Out)
Top and Side man ways, 4” Fill cap, 2” Outlet, and 1 ½” Drain

E. Cable Trays - Material and labor to fabricate one (1) lot of cable trays as per the following. Cable trays to be fabricated as follows :
- Two (1) 40’-0” sections from substructure to fuel tank.
- One (1) 35’-0” section from mud tanks to main trays.
- One (1) 20’-0” section from substructure to main stairs.
- Cable trays complete with the following:
     • Hinged doors in 5’-0” sections with chain for each doorway.
     • Flat expanded metal running the length of each tray.
     • ½” round bar at each end of cable tray to provide protection when pulling wires.

F. Mud Gas Seperator and Transportation Skid - “New”
- Material and labor to fabricate one (1) 36” poor boy degasser and skid. Gas buster to me mounted on a three-runner oilfield type skid with loading hitches on both ends for tailboarding. Gas buster complete with :
     • 36” Pipe with weld caps on both ends.
     • Internal baffles.
     • All piping and pipe brackets.
     • Gas buster to elevate to working condition to allow operation under half full conditions.
     • Gas buster to be mounted in lay down position for transport and to be raised by truck for operation.

Group X - Rig Up Items
A. High Pressure Piping
a. Material and labor to fabrication one (1) lot of high-pressure piping. All piping to be 4” schedule 160 and all unions to be weld type 1002. High pressure piping complete as per the following:
   i. Standpipe
    1. Standpipe to be located on the Off-Driller’s Side.
    2. Standpipe to have hammer union breaks at mast sections so it can me transported without being taken off the mast.
ii. Standpipe Manifold
    1. The standpipe manifold will be complete with manifold type tee with two 2” outlets. Outlets to have hammer union connections only.
    2. The 4” outlets to have a 4” gate valve on the top of the cross.
iii. High Pressure Line
    1. The high-pressure line will run from the bottom of the standpipe manifold to the side of the mud boat
    2. The cellar line will be mounted to the mast support beam.
    3. There will be hammer unions at break of the substructures for transportation.
