Description :

RDS is designed to handle wirerope, fibre rope or umbilical on
transport reels. The system pay out / spool in on drums weighing up
to 150 Tons. The system can be used with wire grippers (page 56) or
linear winch to ensure controlled handling of the material.

RDS consist of two separate units; motor side and free side each to be
mounted on deck with grillage/frame/beams depending on use.

RDS can handle reels with sizes typically up to 6 meters in diameter
and 6 meters width; but can also accommodate bigger reels with
special designed grillage.

The RDS is perfect for installing mooring lines on vessels and barges.
