(fresh water)
4. Control voltage supply
Control voltage main supply 120 VAC
Control system (90 - 264 V) : 150...240 W
5. Control voltage battery supply 24 V DC
Starting battery is not acceptable for this supply
Control voltage supply : 240 W
Indication system : 10 W
Back-up control : 240 W
Electric Power requirement, 3ph, 480 VAC or equal
Steering gear motor 1 : 22 kw
Steering gear motor 2 : 22 kw
Lubrication/hydraulic pump : 10 kw
Note: Power requirements for steering motors and hydraulic are per steerprop unit.
Steerprop control system does not include circuit breakers and isolation switches for
AC current systems. They are normally located at the vessels switchboard.
Steerprop recommendation is to arrange the power supply redundant. Each
drive can be supplied from separate switchboards arranged so that if one supply
goes down another is able to continue. The ship generator should be selected suitable
for frequency converter type motor controller load. Also other system design should
take care of frequency converter load.
