Service Conditions
:
The rig is capable for undertaking work over operations in Oil / Gas /
Injection / Effluent disposal wells /CBM wells etc. up to depth of
2500 mts approximately with tubing string of 2-7/8" to 3-1/2" in 5" to
9 5/8" casings, depending on the weight of completion equipment.
The work over jobs include but are not limited to servicing/ installation
of artificial lift equipment, cleaning of well bore, gravel packing, sand
screening, stimulation, well abandonment, transfer of horizons, water
shut off, gas shut off, water injection profile modification and
re-completion, retrieval of gravel pack assembly, fishing & releasing of
stuck up, multi-layer resting, casing repair etc. in vertical / deviated /
horizontal / multilateral / ERD / USRD wells, etc.
1. Work over Rig
Cardwell, USA make, model KB-200C, self propelled, Back-in-type,
mobile workover cum drilling rig accommodated on heavy duty carrier
having hook load capacity of 80 T. The rig is equipped with the following
technical features :
a)
Mast
:
4 leg leaning type, Hydraulically telescoping, two section, foldable,
Cardwell make, Model 96-180, Mast with clear height of 96 ft. from
ground level and rated static hook load capacity 80 T with 6 lines strung
on traveling block. The mast is designed as per latest API 4E/4F standard
code and practice. The Mast can is equipped with suitable Finger Board
which can accommodate 2500 mts of range-II, 2 7/8"/3 ½” tubulars in
doubles.
b) Twin safety device (floor-o-matic and crown-o-matic) in proper working
condition shall be available.
c) Suitable locking system shall be provided with additional safety manual
lock. This is required after telescoping of mast to full height.
d) The mast is designed to withstand wind speed of minimum 60 knots as
per Clause 6.2.3 of API 4F with full pipe/ setback with all guy ropes properly
placed as per standard API pattern.
e) Hydraulic Cat works For make up & breakout consisting of
hydraulic make up (spinning) cylinder providing 10000lbs (4444kg) minimum
line pull and hydraulic break out cylinder to develop a minimum line pull of
20000lbs. Control for make up & breakout should be located at Driller's console.
g) Draw works
Draw works is of 300 HP rating with minimum 4 forward and 1 reverse speed.
Cardwell make, KB 200C model, double drum draw works of 300 HP capacity.
Input HP rating is 300 HP with Paramec make water cooling auxiliary brake.
Draw works is having 4 (four) forward speed, one reverse in rotary.
i) Draw works is having main drum, Lebus Grooved for 7/8" drill line.
ii) Draw works is having 4 (four) forward speed, one reverse in rotary.
h) Carrier Engine
The draw works is powered by 1 no. of "DETROIT DIESEL" make, model
8V-92T diesel engine of 450 HP at 2100 rpm with ALLISION make, heavy
duty transmission consists of torque converter, model "CLBT 4860" and
suitable power trend through compound/chain drive and gear boxes.
i)We will provide the Hook and tackle system for the rig and capable
to operate 2-7/8" to 3- 1/2" tubing and 2-7/8" to 3-1/2" drill pipes up to the
required depth.
j) Racking Board
The rig is capable to handle 2500 Mts. 2 7/8 " Drill pipes including 3 1/2"
and 4 3/4" drill collars with 3 1/2" IF connection or Drill Collar 4 3/4" with
3 1/2" IF connection, in doubles.
2. Substructure
:
Simplex make, sub-structure having a overall height of 15 ft, clear height
of 12', rated simultaneous set back capacity of 125 T. The sub-structure
is suitable to accommodate 17.5" Rotary Table and completed with tong
back up post for rig tongs, railing, stairway and wings etc. The sub-structure
is having sufficient working area and space for racking the rated length of
tubulars. The substructure is manufactured as per API 4E/4F.
The sub-structure is having sufficient space below rotary beam to
accommodate 7 1/16" x 5 M double ram BOP and annular BOP with riser
and other necessary well head.
3. Rotary Equipment
:
Rotary table with 17.5" opening without master bushing and having static
load capacity-295 tonnes. The table is completed with master bushing
and kelly bushing. The rotary table is driven by chain-sprocket and the
mechanism is powered by the drawworks.
4. Kelly
:
3" face square/hexagonal kelly of 40' length having 6 5/8" API Regular
Box connection on top bottom connection 2 7/8” IF PIN. The working
pressure rating 5000 PSI.
5. Swivel
:
Rotary swivel having sufficient static/dead load capacity and working
pressure rating 5000 psi and completed with bail bumper support, goose
neck connection to rotary hose etc.
6. Hydraulic Winch
:
Winch with suitable hand braking system with hoses, wireline etc..
Pulling capacity - 3 Metric tonne, completed with hydraulic/pneumatic
motor- 1 (one) no.
7. Mud System
7.1 (a)
Mud Pump
:
Triplex slush pump rated at 350/500 HP, unitized to a "CUMMINS"
Make or Caterpillar make or Detroit make or equivalent diesel engine
having suitable HP, through belt drive compound and 5 speed heavy
duty gear box and air clutch. Mounted on a steel oil field skid. ,
20 gallon, 5000 PSI pulsation dampener.
7.2 Discharge System
a) Rotary hose 3" dia., with suitable connection to connect stand pipe
and swivel.
7.3 Mud/Work over fluid storage / Handling arrangement
i) 2 nos. of tank, total capacity 80 cum mud system mounted on skid.
ii) Tanks are equipped with 2 no. 7.5 HP mud agitator.
iii) Tanks will have all the necessary lines for the hooper system, suction
system and gunning system.
iv) The mud system is complete with necessary piping gate valve and
system piping to handle the fluid.
v) Necessary system lines.
vi) 1 no. calibrated hooper complete with flameproof electric motor driven
centrifugal pump, butterfly valve, piping etc,.
8. Fuel Storage
:
Sufficient fuel storage to undertake the workover operations without
interruptions.
9. Water Storage
:
Tank with storage Capacity of 40 m3 equipped with transfer pump of
suitable capacity with necessary hook up.
10. Well Control Equipment
:
The following well control equipment shall be provided :
a) Hydraulically operated Cameron / Shaffer/ Hydril make, one double
ram type Blow Out Preventor of 7-1/16" X 5000 PSI working pressure
having one set of blind ram and one set pipe rams to handle size 3-1/2"
and 2-7/8".
b) One set of stem & wheel for manually closing BOP as per OISD
standard-174.
c) One. No of Sara/Shanghai Shenkai Petroleum Chemical Equipment Group
Co.Ltd. Make or equivalent, 6 bottle hydraulic control unit, capable of operating
the BOP with suitable Pneumatic and electric motor driven pump. The system
pressure is 3000 PSI. Necessary 1" BOP control hose to connect BOP with
control unit. 1 (one) nos., of remote control unit placed on drillers console.
Flame proof DGMS approved motor shall be used.
11. Choke and Kill Manifold
:
Rigidly supported 2-1/16" x 5000 psi choke and kill manifold completed with
2 nos. 2 1/16” x 5000 psi master valve , 1 no. 2 1/16” x 5000 psi flow line valve
and 5 nos. 2 9/16” x 5000 psi WP flow arm valve, 1 (one) no. manually operated
adjustable choke and 1 (one) no. fixed choke pressure gauge and all standard
fittings like "T" and crosses, the choke and kill manifold will be mounted on steel
oil field skid.
Kill manifold will have the provision for connection on to rig pump by means of
2" x 5000 psi and 3" x 5,000 psi flexible steel pipe with NRV.
The provision shall also be available to kill the well through kill line as well as one
additional line for making connection through cementing.
12. Handling tools as per API 8C
:
a) Center latch elevator for minimum 50MT capacity and minimum 01 no. for
each category will be provided

b) Elevator links :
Elevator links-forged as per API 8C, rated capacity-minimum 50 MT, size
1-3/4"x72" will be provided. Qty-1 set
c) Power (Pneumatic) slips :
Light Weight pneumatic slip/spider, with sufficient spares, inserts suitable
for 2-7/8"and 3-1/2" tubing and drill pipes along with all associated connections,
hoses and Couplings.
d) Hydraulic tubing tong (Qty-1) :
Light weight hydraulic tubing tongs as per relevant API for 2 7/8" and 3-1/2" tubings.
e) Heavy duty Tong. (Qty-02) :
Range 2-3/8" to 4-1/2", and to handle all fishing tools and milling tools as per
relevant API, torque rating minimum 35000 ft-lbs.
13. Cross Over Subs
:
Bit subs, cross over subs and all necessary subs to handle work with 2-7/8" &
3-1/2" tubing and drill pipe string or their combinations will be provided.
14. Rig instrumentation suitable for Hazardous area will be provided as below
:
a) Deadline weight indicator with sensator / load cell on driller console/control
panel, indicating load on hook for the designed capacity of the rig.
c) Mud pump pressure indicator, complete, on drillers console/control panel.
0-6000 PSI.
d)Mud pump pressure gauge mounted on stand pipe of 0-6000 PSI.
e)SPM indicator for mud pump discharge at driller's console & at local mud
pump control panel.
15. Safety Equipment
:
I. Explosion proof rig lighting at all hazardous locations as per Indian Oil Mines
Regulation in force.
II. Flame proof portable lamps (minimum 2 nos.)
III. Emergency Kill system for derrick engine (control from driller's panel).
IV. Electrical system should have suitable ELR (Earth leakage relay)
V. First aid box with stretcher facilities as per OISD standards - 204
para 6.5 and Annexure - H.
VI. Safety kits & liveries (as per standard statutory body) to be provided for
operating personnel. Top man safety belt also to be provided.
VII. All the rotating parts must have proper safety Guards.
16. Drill String (optional)
:
Drill pipes 2-7/8" OD IF Right Hand, G grade of 10.4 ppf, premium Class I,
Range II not less than 2500 mtrs length will be provided along with latest
NDT certificate.
17. Other Equipments
:
The following equipment will also be provided :
a) Air system: Independent air compressor system of suitable capacity'
with air tank for operating pneumatic Cellar pump. Hydraulic pump of
BOP control unit etc.
b) POL store.
c) Rig In-charge Office.
d) One bunk house for Contractor's operating personnel.
e) V door & cat walk with pipe racks on both sides.
f) Cellar pump- Air operated (Pneumatic) with suction hose of sufficient
length shall be provided by the contractor.
g) Gen set (two nos) of sufficient capacity for continuous round the clock
operation including motors of auxiliary equipments, other electrical equipments
like air conditioner, fan, blower etc. and illumination of working area etc.
Illumination of Drill site area to be provided as per OMR-1984 and its
amendments from time to time.
h) Sufficient number of suitable flanges, chicksons / flexible joints and rubber
hoses for making all types of connections for working pressure 5000 psi shall
be available.
i) Welding machine/ Welding transformer.
j) One no of red aviation light flickering type fitted with lamp at crown block
shall be available having independent circuit.
