Two integrated backstay cylinders raise the mast system into the working position including crown block and top drive. Hoisting system The hoisting system consists of a central, single cylinder with enhanced buckling resistance. The central cylinder is integrated inside the inner moving mast section directly below the main rope top sheaves. The double reeved, twin-wire rope system allows the top drive twice the lifting stroke and speed of the cylinder. The hoisting system enables lifting and pull down operations. Semi-trailer and substructure The rig frame is directly connected to the five (5) axles semi-trailer. The semi-trailer is in accordance with standard road regulations and equipped with a coupling pin according to client’s requirements. Driller’s cabin The driller’s cabin is located on the drill floor and offers a high quality workplace with joystick control. The driller controls all drilling functions centrally from the ergonomic and air-conditioned cabin. The built-in instrumentation system provides clear information to the driller at any time. The system is optionally equipped with a digital data visualization and data acquisition system. Transport and set-up The compact and trailer-based transport units allow a fast and safe moving and rig-up/down operation and a reduction of transport costs. The compact footprint of the drilling unit, reduces the costs for wellsite preparation and the environmental impact. Substructure and drill floor The trailer-based substructure is equipped with a selferecting system to lift the drill floor including driller’s cabin and power tong to the final working position. The clear height of 4,1m below the drill floor allows sufficient space for BOP installations. The compact transport unit including driller’s cabin, power tong, walkways and handrails allows fast moving operations with high HSE standards. Pipe handling system The automated pipe handling system with hands-off technology allows drill pipe and casing operation without the necessity of a finger board and increases the personal safety. For redundancy reasons the pipes can also be handled by using the utility winch and the V-door ramp. Top drive The hydraulically operated top drive TDK 150 H is based on 40 years of experience in manufacturing rotary heads for drilling rigs. It is designed to meet advanced performance standards in terms of high drilling torque, high make up and break out torque, rotation speed, reliability and serviceability.
