The vessel is equipped with 2 Nos. fire pumps and 14 Nos. fire hydrants for fire
fighting. The engine room and the pump room are provided with CO2 flooding
system (48 bottles) for fighting the fire. Smoke and temperature detectors are
provided hin wheel house, mess room, engine room and pump room etc.

During our survey/ inspection of TSHD we had observed that the vessel was manned
by the layup crew of 6 crew members. Namely one 2nd officer, one 3rd engineer. two seamen,
one oiler and a cook.

Externally as far as could be seen was in satisfactory condition
without excessive wastage of plating and any severe damage/dents
Frames : The frame structure was found staisfactory without excessive wastage

Accommodation space : Well maintaned

Trailer suction hopper dredger , as inspected by us on 04.06.2014, was
structurally in satisfactory condition and was maintaining watertight
integrity. 2 Nos. diesel generators, emergency diesel generator, 2 Nos.
air compressors, fire & GS pumps and some of the auxiliary pumps
were in operational state. The other machinery were not operated /used
for the last 2 years.

Accommodation
Given the moderate range and endurance of the vessel the facilities
provided for the crew are basic, but adequate for the needs.
It should be noted that all the craft exhibit an extremely high
standard of crew accommodation.
Cabin accommodation for the four crew consists of two double tier
bunks with a locker facility dividing. Combination fridge /freezer provide
food storage for the limited duration voyages. All vessels were found to
be inn exceptionally clean condition.

Engine room & machinery spaces :
The engine rooms are very well fitted out.

Main engines 2x Detroit series 60  : Rated at 440kW
Generally the running hours are very low in the service operation of these
engines, they do however vary between the craft in that some have
had very little time at sea- less than 300 hours.

Auxiliary engines 2 x Caterpillar 3054 : Rated @ 35kW
Similarly the auxiliary engines have very low running hours and would be
considered to be in good condition.
The engine rooms were all found to be in very good condition.

switchboard below illustrating the compactness of the fully EO Class designation.
