The unit is designed for following operating data: 21 m3/min = 740 cfm +/- 5% Nitrogen with 95% purity and a discharge pressure of 351 bara = 5000 psi The unit will be driven by a diesel engine. Screw and piston compressors are directly coupled on one shaft-end of the prime mover for a synchronous output. An electric Generator is coupled on the second shaft end of the prime mover. The compressor unit is installed in a container and suitable for heavy duty oil/gas-field operation. The control system of the unit will be fully- automatic for heavy duty operation. The cooling system consists of three closed separate circuits. The screw-oil is cooled with a direct oil/air-heat exchanger. The compressor coolant (water with antifreeze) and the diesel-engine coolant (water with antifreeze) are cooled with one common coolant/air-heat exchanger each. The ambient as well as the suction temperature will be in the range of -40°C +35°C. The operation of the compressor unit is allowed at temperatures inside the container above +2°C. The unit is completely assembled on common base frame and will be tested under full load before shipment ex works. The unit is designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with valid and applicable standards as DIN, VDI, VDE-ÖVE, IEC, ISO and QA-System which has been certified by DNV corresponding to ISO 9001.

Anchor Handling Fork, Shark Jaw One (1) set electro-hydraulically operated anchor handling fork (hydraulic retractable shark jaws) of approved make to be installed in centreline on main deck aft. The stopper to be able to take 2” to 3” dia. Wire and 1-1/4” to 3” dia. Chain. SWL to be 200 tonnes. Stopper to have separate hydraulic power unit and to be remotely controlled from the cargo rail on main deck aft and from wheelhouse aft.
Towing Pins (200t SWL) Two (2) vertical hydraulic towing pins of approved make, retractable type, closed top to be installed in the centreline of the main deck. The anchor handling pins to extend about 600mm above main decklevel in the fully extended position. The pins are to be operable from wheelhouse aft and locally.

Hydraulic Arrangement Hydraulic Systems The hydraulic transmission will be designed for optimum performance within the constraint of available horsepower. High pressure hydraulic system uses power more efficiently and applies power as needed. All motions controls offer infinitely variable speed and full reversing characteristics. Two full flow filters will be installed. The filter(s) will be adequately sized for full flow operation without causing pump cavitation. Replaceable wire mesh filter cartridge of minimum absolute value of 40 micron will be used. The pumps will have overflow suction independent of the reservoir, and the arrangement of piping can avoid air pockets. Hoisting Circuit Each winch is driven by a common open loop hydraulic system including piston pump, piston motor and epicycles gearbox. Each winch is fitted with oil immersed, multi-disc and dynamically rated “fail safe” brake. The fixed displacement hoist motors offer a constant operating speed. Slewing Circuit The slew circuit is driven by a common open loop hydraulic system. Dynamic braking of slewing is by means of hydrostatic compensation. Similarly positive locking brakes are fitted in the circuit and used as static brake. Luffing Circuit Luff circuit is driven by a common open loop hydraulic system. Each winch is fitted with oil immersed, multi-disc,dynamically rated “fail safe” brake. an additional luff ratchet cylinder is included, providing a positive means of locking the luff drum whenever the prime mover is shutdown. Hydraulic Piping 1. Pipes: No pipe threads will be used for the high-pressure lines larger than 3/8".
