Helideck for sale
Description :
The helideck is octagonal in shape with maximum dimensions at 24.02 metres at the extremities, with a minimum deck diameter of 22.2 metres from the fore edge of the deck to the 210 deg chevron. This dimension results in a ‘D’ rating of ‘22’ for the deck. The deck has a rated maximum gross tonnage of 13000 Kg (13 tonne) giving a ‘T’ value of 13. The deck is constructed of extruded aluminium plate with a raise friction profile surface. The deck is surrounded by a PVC coated safety net that protrudes outward 1.5 metre at deck level for most of the perimeter of the deck. A fence consisting of metallic tubing frame borders passenger walkways. These fences are collapsed to deck level during takeoff and landing and erected for passenger safety for embarkation and disembarkation. The aiming circle is situated at centre of the deck. All markings on the deck meet the guidelines provided in CAP437. Design Helicopters : Sikorsky S-92 - 12.83 MT, D= 20.88 m Sikorsky S-61 N - 9.3 MT, D= 22.2 m 210 deg Obstacle Free Sector (OFS) The only obstacles that penetrate the 210 deg OFS on the ship are the passenger handrails. These must be collapsed to deck level during helicopter landings and takeoffs. Lighting : The deck has 26 green perimeter lights set at an average of 2.8 metres apart around the perimeter of the deck. There are 4 deck level Xenon floodlights set at deck at forward port, aft and starboard edges of the deck.
