Introduction :
The rig is a loadcraft industries 750 drilling rig with mast hook load capacity of 365.000 lbs
(160 metric ton), powered by two caterpillar C15 diesel engines, coupled two allison 6061 RB
transmissions with torque converter. The mast is 114ft (36m) rated at 365.000 lbs API capacity.
Drawworks have 1000hp capacity. All equipment is mounted on a 7 axle carrier. The rig is
equipped with a telescoping substructure at 17ft 6 inches (5.3m) height.
The mast is equipped with a torque arrest beam for the top drive and with piping and necessary
loops to operate the top drive. The total rig is built for extremely quick rig up/down time.
The TD is a northdrill API 250 ton rated with continuous torque rating of 40.500 ft-lbs.
All necessary equipment to operate the top drive in is included with the rig.

1. Carrier
Section 1.1 carrier
- Seven axle heavy-duty carrier for load of 140.000 lbs. Fully equipped with lights and brakes
etc for normal driving operation. All axles have spring brake chambers for safety.
- Tires and wheels are disc wheels, 14"20 all terrain tread. Tire rating of 52.000 psi total.
Two spares delivered.
- Two 100 gallon (2x420 L) fuel tanks side mounted on carrier frame, connected for equalization.
- One toolbox storage box of steel with reinforced lockable doors.
- Eight side platforms with handrails on both sides along the carrier body, four on each side.
Each platform is approx. 6ft x 2 ft (1,8x0,6m)
- One staircase section from side platforms to ground level.
- Hercules 129 HA deadline anchor to be used with compression type weight sensor. Drum type
mounted on carrier frame in front of drawworks frame, hydraulic sensor included.
- Four pedestals to go under front jacks for rig stability.
- Total of six jacks for leveling the rig.

Section 1.2 hydraulic system
- 50 GPM (190 LPM) hydraulic system, design to operate at minimum 2000 psi with rating of
50 gpm at 2100 psi.
- Hydraulic pump driven from PTO on transmission.
- Air activated clutch for pump engagement.
- 325 gallon (1230 L) hydraulic oil tank with filler cap, breather, oil level, oil temp.

Section 1.3 tong circuits
- Tong hydraulic circuit is designed to operate up to 50 gpm at 2000 psi.
- Includes connectors, pressure & return lines, pressure gauge, directional flow valve and pressure
regulating valve.

Section 1.4 handling winch
- Hydraulic powered planetary winch 8000 lb (3.6 t) line pull, rated at 100 ft (30m) per minute at
2000 psi hyd. pressure.
- 325 ft (99m) of 1/2" line on drum
- Fail safe brake (in/out hydraulic activated)
- Winch sheaves provided in crown
- Protection cage on winch
- Controls at operators console

2. Main power/engine
Section 2.1 engine/transmission
-Two caterpillar C-15 540 hp diesel engines
- Equipped with limiting speed governor, air throttle sctuator, lube and fuel filters, alternator and
flywheel housing.
- High ambient radiators and suction fan, permanent type anti-freeze, signel exhaust with spark
arrester diverted to off-operator side with mufflers.
- Engine kill valve located at operators console
- Electric start (remote from operators console)
- Both engines can run at the same time or only one if adequate.

Section 2.2 transmission
- Allison S 6061 RB model six-speed transmission (five fwd 1 rw)
- With converter and oil cooler
- Air over hydraulic controls, with air line indicator system
- Controls available at operators console and in drivers cabin

3. Drawworks
Section 3.1 drawworks
- Model 4212 drum winch assembly
- Full air, fawick "28VC-1000" clutch outside drawworks frame.
- Brakes are 42" (107 cm) diameter x 12" (30,5 cm) wide, lined with 1 inch (2,5 cm) x 12" (30,5 cm)
- API driled brake blocks, full wrap dead-end equalized
- Brake rims are removable with rings for splash water cooling
- Brake operatoin shafts are mounted on ball bearings; these are self engaging and release
by operator.
- Drum barrel is 18" (45,7 cm) in diameter, and 38" (96,5 cm) long, mounted on double row
self-aligning spherical roller bearings on a 6 1/2" (16,5 cm) drum shaft
- Clutch single line pull is 42.500 lb on bare drum and first gear.

Section 3.2 lubrication
- Centralized lubrication system to all bearings and brake linkage on drawworks, is located
outside frame.

Section 3.3 brake water cooling
- Closed loop brake cooling system, mounted on carrier
- Includes 425 gallon tank with covered top, with level indicator
- Removable cap with drain system, breather and fill cap.

Section 3.4 drawworks drive
- ASA-100-3 (1 1/4") pitch, triple stand, roller chain
- Chain drive from input sprocket to sprocket on jackshaft
- ASA-100-3 (1 1/4") pitch, triple stand, roller chain as final drive to main drum

Section 3.5 main drum - grooved jacket
- Lebus counter balanced sleeve is grooved for 1 1/8" wireline, to assist spooling, and reduced line wear.

Section 3.6 hydrotarder
- Parmac 202 hydrodynamic brake assembly with dual rotary
- Fawick 28 VC 1000 air clutch, gates, inlet air valve and piping
- 325 gallon (1230 L) water tank, lines, valves and plumbing installed on rig.
- Drive from the main drum thru triple stand 1 1/4" pitch drive chain.

Section 3.7 combined gearbox
- Cushman model 279 combined gearbox consisting of right angle gearbox and dropbox.
- Right angle gearbox ratio 1:1 to drive single drum drawworks. Dropbox to transfer torque to rotary.
- Pressurized lubrication system.

Section 3.8 sandline drum
- Sandline drum with 42x8 brake size, for handling 16,500 ft of 9/16" wireline on drum
- Brakes are removable for water splash cooling of the brake rims
- Single line pull is 26,000 lbs on the drum

Section 3.9 rotary drive
- Provided at the dropbox for power connection- Elevated chain drive is oil bath type consisting of drive
sprocket at bottom of case with ASA 140-2 (1 3/4") pitch double

4. Mast
Section 4.1 mast
- 114 ft (33,5m) clear working height with an API rated static hook load of 330.000 lb with 8 lines,
and 365.000 lb with 10 lines.
- Designed to withstand 69mph winds from any direction
- Telescoping twin box structure designed and built to API standards.
- Two section with upper section telescoping into lower section for rig move operation.
- Automatic mast latching in raised or lowered position
- Lock and operating control located at base of mast
- Ladder from base to crown with safety blocks for personnel
- All necessary chains, turnbuckles, pins etc included and certified
- 4 inch standpipe rated 5000 lb, welded with 1502 unions.

Section 4.2 crown assembly

5. Substructure
Section 5.1 hydraulic telescoping substructure

- The TD power pack connects to the rig by 4 hydraulic hoses that connect on ground level
at the base of the mast

5.0 Can-Drill Tubing Reel Assembly
  5.1  The CD 4500 reel utilizes lightweight but extremely strong elliptical heads
         to support the reel spool.
  5.2  1/1/2 Rotary Swivel Joint, rated at 10,000 psig, Working Pressure the swive
          l will be flange mounted to the main reel shaft to permit continuous circulation
          during tubing operations.
  5.3  The CD 4500 utilizes a direct Chain Drive
  5.4  The Spring applied Hydraulic actuated failsafe brake is mounted between the
          hydraulic drive motor and the drive sprocket.
  5.5  Reel maximum capacity: 4500 m. (14,753 ft.) of 1-1/4” diameter coiled tubing

  5.7  Reel is a transverse type (side to side movement).  No leadscrew is used.

  5.12  The External High Pressure Manifold is complete with two (2) inlets and two

            which in turn is attached to the Rotating Swivel Joint.
  5.13  The Internal Pressure Manifold is provided with a medium pressure ball valve
            between the reel axle and the coiled tubing.
  5.14  Tubing reel shaft is supported by Two (2) bearing on the swivel side and
            by the chain drive side. This is then mounted on a heavy-duty steel frame
            assembly. The tubing reel can be removed from the truck deck by removing
            the transport/operational locking pins.

6.0 Can-Drill 60K Injector
  Can-Drill 25K Injector :
  6.1  Tubing Injection/Retraction Speed: 0 – 200 ft. / min.
  6.2  Rated at 60,000 lb. Pull; 40,000 lb. Push
  6.3  The Can-Drill 60 K Injector Head has been engineered to meet the most rigorous
         applications for land or offshore applications.
  6.4  Gripper Blocks are of rugged design.
  6.5  Drive chains use a 2” pitch, 3-strand oilfield roller chain with the pins going all the
         way through the gripper blocks for extra strength.  Drive chains will be fitted with
         one (1) set of gripper blocks in a size requested by the customer (1 ¾”)
  6.7  High ratio planetary drives power the drive sprockets, which provides accurate
         control at low speeds. Variable displacement piston hydraulic motors and fail-safe
         disc brakes complete the assembly.
  6.8  Fail safe disc brakes are located between the motors and the gearboxes.
  6.9  Linde variable displacement piston hydraulic motors provide infinite speed control
         and eliminates the need to stop to shift gears.
  6.10 Drive shafts, skates, sprockets, idler shafts and cross shafts are made from high
          quality steel.
  6.11 Independent, full floating, self-centering roller skate is utilized to apply tubing
          friction pressure to tubing push/pull.
  6.12 Gripping force is applied using a superior flat black chain with rollers.
  6.13 Lightweight, high strength tubular steel construction.

  6.17 Hydraulic cylinders apply tubing friction pressure through each of the skates.
  6.18 These hydraulic cylinders are conservatively sized to provide extra squeeze to
          prevent slipping on even lubricated coil tubing.  Cylinders are positioned for easy
          removal for service.
  6.19 Independent accumulators cushion all skate pressure cylinders.
  6.20 Pressure lubrication system is incorporated into the design of the injector
  6.21 All grease nipples are easily accessible
  6.22 Electrical or mechanical, Load Cell is positioned between the bottom of
          the injector and the base frame.
  6.23 Injector head is mounted into a separate Upper and Lower welded tubular
          support and protective framework.

  6.26 The injector component design is made as accessible as possible with only
          high quality materials used to ensure durability.

7.0 Guide Arch
  7.1   Forty-eight (48”) tubing guide arch assembly is complete with nylatron guide
          arch rollers.  Alternate sizes of tubing guide arches are available.
  7.2  Guide Arch comes with 5 equal spaced hold down clamps for even tubing load.
  7.3  The guide arch hinges midway to reduce size for ease of transport.

8.0 Hydraulic Hose Package

11.0 Tank and Stand
  11.1  Stainless steel storage tank for soaps, chemicals or other agents is kept from
            freezing in winter by heat from the engine water jacket. In addition a Proheat
            heater is tied into the engine water jacket, it too may provide heat to the tanks.
  11.2  The triplex pump uses this storage tank to draw its supply for the injection of
            chemicals, soap, etc. into the coil tubing.

12.0 BOP Control
  The system proposed below is a hydraulic-over-hydraulic system and consists
  of the following   components :
   (a)  Nitrogen (N2) back-up activation switch, c/w lift-up arming feature
   (b)  Pressure reducing valve and gauge for variable pressure out to the auxiliary BOP
   (c)  There are two control panels, one at the rear of the unit and one at the front
          of the unit.

13.0 Mounted Mid-Ship of the Unit
  13.1  Two (2) 11-gallon accumulators

15.0 Tool Boxes
  There are a total of two tool boxes
  15.1  The tool box is mounted on the drivers side of the unit. This box is of rugged steel
            construction, c/w two doors that open out horizontally to each side. The dimensions
            are height 40”, width 30”, depth 20”.
  15.2  The junk box is mounted on the passenger side of the unit. This box is of rugged
            steel construction, c/w two doors that open vertically. The dimensions are height 20”,
            width 35”, depth 20”.

16.0 Miscellaneous
  16.1 Stairs to each side of the control cabin for ease of access
  16.2 Numbered bulkhead connections on control panel and from Triplex Pump Box

   bar grate sides and bottom to reduce weight

Apart from new safety regulations, the new moratorium will allow time to examine the spill response capabilities of exploration companies to ensure the minimum possible damage to ecology in the vicinity of the drilling area. New penalty tax laws on oil spills are expected to be introduced in the wake of the offshore drilling moratorium.

The six-month moratorium will also wipe out thousands of jobs and millions of dollars of income from the offshore drilling business.

 Growth in Oil and Gas Demand in the Long Term and Increase in Offshore Oil and Gas Production are Driving the Growth of the Offshore Drilling Industry

The global demand for oil and gas decreased in late 2008 and 2009 due to the global economic slowdown. However, with the expected recovery of the global economy led by the emerging economies of India and China, the demand for oil and gas is likely to recover in 2010. This will result in a corresponding increase in production, especially from the offshore regions. With the global crude oil and natural gas demand not expected to subside and the onshore reserves facing depletion, the offshore crude oil and natural gas production is only expected to increase in the future.

 Offshore Drilling Expenditure in the Americas is Expected to Continue to Increase to 2015 After a Dip in the Previous Two Years

Recent exploration attempts in the search for oil and gas reserves in Suriname, the Falkland Islands, Uruguay, Cuba, Peru and Ecuador have indicated the potential oil and gas reserves and offshore drilling investment potential in these countries. Intense shallow water activity off the South and Central American coasts are expected in the period 2010-15, as a result of previous as well as expected exploration investments off the coasts of Brazil, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, and newer regions such as Falkland Islands and Suriname.
